Cedar House is a boutique-style inn offering warm, personal Oakland, Oregon lodging in a quiet neighborhood on the edge of historic downtown. Once a working garage, the home was thoughtfully renovated by a local family who saw its potential as as a comfortable and welcoming retreat.
Today, the original concrete floors in the entryway and vintage vehicle parts on display offer subtle nods to its past — balanced by modern updates that make the space feel relaxed, inviting, and easy to settle into.
Guests can book the Main House, the attached Suite, or both together for full access to the entire property. Each space is designed with everyday comfort in mind, featuring natural light, cozy touches, and plenty of room to gather, rest, or recharge after a day of exploring.

Hi there — I’m Michelle, your host here at Cedar House. I was born and raised in Oregon, and I’ve always loved creating cozy, welcoming spaces where people can relax and feel at home.
Since 2014, I’ve been in the Adult Foster Home business caring for seniors. Over the years, I’ve learned how much the little things matter and hospitality has become second nature to me. Not because it’s my job, but because I genuinely enjoy making people feel welcome and cared for. From the comfort of a good meal to the calm of a well-loved space, I believe it’s the small details that make all the difference.Those same values shape everything I do at Cedar House.
Whether you’re here for a quick stopover or a weekend getaway, I want your stay to be easy, comfortable, and memorable in all the best ways. Between myself and my partner Mark, we’ll make sure everything is just right for your visit.
